The 2009 American Library Association's Annual Conference will take place in
Chicago, Illinois July 9 - July 15, 2009 at McCormick Place West (2301 S. Lake Shore Drive Chicago, IL 60616). Arte Público Press will display and sell at booth # 3654.
Exhibitions for the Conference include: meetings with authors and illustrators, International and Spanish Publishers pavilions, a silent auction, a Green pavilion, as well as games, video/DVDs, and cooking pavilions.
The object of the American Library Association is to promote library service and librarianship. The stated ALA mission is, “To provide leadership for the development, promotion and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.”
