Registration Now Open for the 9th Annual Disparities in Health in the Global Context Summer Workshop
Chair of the WHO Commission on Social Determinants of Health, Professor Sir Michael Marmot, will be the Keynote Speaker of the Workshop
From June 20 to 25, 2011, the Center for Research on Minority Health of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will hold its annual workshop. The goal of the workshop is to provide a comprehensive approach to reduce the impact of chronic disease as it impacts health disparity and public health. It will also provide attendees with a broad base of knowledge related to a bio-psychosocial approach in addressing health disparities.
This event should be of interest to physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, social workers, students, fellows and health educators, community members, and civic and governmental leaders. Advance registration ends on June 4, 2011.
