USDA Offers New Grant for Healthy Meals at Schools
Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, announced the grant during National Nutrition Month
The Team Nutrition Training Grants for Healthy Meals will assist schools in promoting healthy eating and physical activity. The Department will invest about 5.5 million in grants for the implementation of nutrition requirements and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans in schools and childcare institutions. The funds will also provide training and assistance to professionals in nutrition in school environments.
