Education about Chronic Diseases is Crucial for Hispanics

Diabetes is the seventh-leading cause of death among this ethnic group

Health care professionals face a variety of challenges in order to serve vulnerable populations. Language barriers, cultural differences and the lack of education about chronic diseases are inhibitors to reaching the Hispanic population.  As a result, Hispanics are suffering the consequences on unattended illnesses.
