Obesity in Texas Still Growing
Latest studies reporta n increasing rate of obesity among Hispanics and African Americans indicating a steady rise in government costs
Studies show that Texas held the highest obesity rate during 2009. Hispanic cases increased to 36.4% while African American cases increased to 35.7%. If obesity continues to grow at this pace, it will cost employers approximately $32.5 billion annually by 2030.
