Passion Fruit, native to Brazil, is widely produced in the United States, mainly in the states of Massachusetts and California. A multitude of varieties exist, some sweeter than others. And also contains 30% Vitamin A, 60% Vitamin C, and smaller amounts of calcium (2%) and iron (10%). The passion fruit’s pulp can be eaten directly from its shell, blended into smoothies, or even used as an extra burst of flavor in many cooked dishes.
