"Your Heart, Your Life" Manual

This manual is a resource for community health workers to educate consumers about good heart health

Community health workers (promotores) play a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles in Latino communities. The Your Heart, Your Life manual provides important information on preventing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, among other health topics. Developed in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, and the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, it is available to use as an educational resource.

Originally printed in 1999, it was revised in May 2008 and is available for download through the Migrant Health Promotion at no cost. To download this 496 page manual, click here.
