Call for Submissions for Publication in Volume IX

Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Literary Heritage


The Board of the Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Literary Heritage invites presenters at the Recovery Conference, held in conjunction with Rice University in Houston, TX, in November 2010, to submit their papers for possible publication in volume IX of Recovery conference articles. Blanca López de Mariscal and Donna Kabalen de Bichara, both from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education will edit volume IX.

 

Criteria for inclusion in volume IX includes, but is not limited to: 1) relevance to the work of the Recovery Project, 2) timely submission of final drafts in accordance with editing and publication deadlines (see details below) and 3) adherence to the style and documentation format of the volume (see details below).

 

DOCUMENTATION STYLE AND LENGTH

Submissions under consideration for the volume must employ the author-date citation method along with other documentation formats in accordance with the MLA Handbook. Submissions must conform to a word count of some 5000-6000 or 20-25 pages in length.

 

DEADLINE

To be considered for publication, papers must be submitted by June 1, 2011.

 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submit a digital copy in Word via email, including author’s name, contact information and title of the article to Carolina A. Villarroel, Brown Foundation Director of Research at carolina@central.uh.edu or artrec@mail.uh.edu by the end of the work day on June 1, 2011.
